Our firm is committed to representing public clients, including States and Tribes, in a wide range of affirmative litigation matters, including antitrust, consumer protection, environmental law and public health.
Through close and active collaboration, we have developed a strong understanding of the unique needs and perspectives of public clients.
Our representative matters include the following:
FHC represents the Michigan and Illinois Attorneys General for polluting waters for decades with toxic "forever chemicals" and continuing to actively promote the chemicals as safe to manufacture and use.
FHC represents the Cherokee Nation in a lawsuit against opioids distributor Morris & Dickson Co. for oversupplying the market with highly addictive prescription opioids while failing to maintain effective controls against diversion and to investigate, report, and halt orders for prescription opioids that they knew or should have known were suspicious.
FHC represented the Cherokee Nation, the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, and other Tribal nations in the National Opioids Litigation, resulting in the first settlement of its kind with Tribal governments in the country.
FHC represented the Muscogee (Creek) Nation in an action against Juul Labs Inc., for deceptively advertising vape products and underplaying the products' dangers to Tribal youth.
